Davaabayar, Advisor to the Mongolian President’s Industry and Services Policy, chaired the meeting and explained the positions and conclusions of scientists and researchers regarding the scientific resolution of the issue of pesticides, their usage, and inspection.

The “Food Revolution” national movement initiated by the President of Mongolia aims to address the issue of food safety as a priority. By ensuring that the population has access to healthy, safe, and quality-guaranteed food, the country’s national immunity and security can be strengthened. Therefore, scientists and researchers have gathered to discuss food safety, which is a problem not only in Mongolia but also in the world. In particular, one of the important factors of food safety, which is chemicals and toxic pesticides, was discussed in detail.

During the meeting, it was emphasized that there is a need to determine the number of pesticide residues in plant-based food raw materials and products, to ensure that they meet hygiene and standard requirements, and to prove the ecological cleanliness of products through analysis and research. Special attention from relevant professional organizations and the government in this area of research was also highlighted, along with the need to improve the capabilities of experts and laboratories.

They also discussed issues such as organizing information and knowledge training for farmers and enterprises about the risks of pesticides, and providing them with manuals, recommendations, and textbooks.
